Description
Walker White is a Beattyville native whose music is rooted in the people, places, and stories of the people he grew up around. Being raised in Beattyville, Walker has been able to put his experiences of home into his songs. He aims to capture the image of Beattyville and the people that live there in his music. His upcoming debut album, Kentucky River Folk, produced by Duane Lundy in Lexington, explores the pull of home, memory, belonging, and departure. His songwriting has drawn comparisons to John Prine, Sturgill Simpson, fellow Lee county native Ian Noe, and Tyler Childers. Walker has performed throughout Kentucky and beyond as a solo artist and with a band on many stages and festivals.

Come out to the Beattyville Town Square during the Woolly Worm Festival and support this local artist. Walker takes the stage Saturday, October 24th at 4:00pm.
