RRGMTB100 Coming Through Lee County Sept. 19

Residents and motorists should be on the lookout for mountain bike racers traveling through Lee County on Saturday, September 19, as the RRGMTB100 returns to the Red River Gorge region.

The challenging 100-mile course travels through portions of northern Lee County, including the Walker Creek, Bald Rock, Hollerwood, Fixer/Leeco and Standing Rock areas. Riders will use a combination of trails, gravel and public roads throughout the day.

🚵 Please watch for cyclists! Slow down, give riders plenty of room when passing, and use extra caution on narrow and winding backroads.

Volunteers Needed at Hollerwood

Lee County Tourism is also looking for volunteers to help operate the RRGMTB100 aid station at Hollerwood Offroad Park, located around Mile 85 of the race.

The station will be ready by 11:00 AM, with the last rider expected around 5:15 PM. Approximately 50 racers are expected to come through.

We supply everything! Volunteers are simply needed to help hand out water, Gatorade and snacks, check riders in, organize drop bags and offer some much-needed encouragement as racers tackle their final 15 miles.

If you would like to volunteer, call 606-560-9059

Please help us welcome these visiting riders to Lee County—and keep an eye out for them on the roads on September 19th.
